The City Sleeps

New York City, May 2nd 2020.

Amid the outbreak of COVID-19 I walked to Manhattan from my Brooklyn apartment to absorb the eerie silence of “The City That Never Sleeps”. Here is a series of images documenting what I saw. Apart from the occasional unfortunate homeless person, pedestrian, some light traffic, or cops, the streets of New York were deserted. A less than kindly reminder from Mother Nature that we are mere temporary occupants of her grand creation and she can take it away from us at anytime she pleases.
